HUANCHACO | Nearly 300 kilos of solid waste were removed from the Huanchaco resort during the #beachcleaning campaign.
The environmental activity was carried out by @ongtierrayser in conjunction with the District Municipality of Huanchaco, the activism of 70 volunteers and had the support of local companies.
The activity in favor of the environment had the support of companies such as Caja Trujillo, Konecta Perú, Sika, Arca Continental Lindley, CIVA, LATAM Airlines, Punta Huanchaco Hostel and Salaverry Terminal Internacional STI, who operate in Trujillo and provided everything necessary to achieve the success of the activity: gloves, hats, snacks and drinks for hydration.
At the beginning of the activity, Tierra y Ser held a small recognition ceremony for the participating entities, with diplomas and “Social Ecowarrior” pins, a name used to name people who are committed to the planet, recycling and caring for the environment and living beings.
Likewise, a preformative act was carried out, representing the marine species affected by the garbage and that are saved by the humans who come to their aid.
This coordinated work will continue. What we seek is to draw attention and raise awareness about the importance of caring for our planet.
Indeed, with the motto “Innovate for a socio-environmental culture”, the Earth and Being NGO is dedicated to raising awareness and taking action for our planet. Based in Lima, Earth and Being, was born more than 14 years ago, and will continue in this work.
