The Municipality of Santa María del Mar and the Peruvian artist Vito Loli inaugurated in the Central Park of the resort (outdoors) the art exhibition United for a cause, although we are separated for the benefit of the Earth and Being , where 50% of the sales generated will be directed to its blue program “Recycling I go” and to the acquisition of orthopedic devices for the most needy population. The exhibition will remain active until April 5, respecting the protocols in force according to law.
According to Erika Schaefer, President of the Earth and being : “We create and implement development projects for vulnerable areas and awareness programs and support for the environment, for which we require financing and sponsorship from companies and entities and organizations events like this . We also receive projects from NGOs, Foundations, Associations and peasant and indigenous communities from all over Peru with which we are aligned and have the same objectives to join in the search for financing for the management and execution that the projects require. Likewise, with the RECYCLING I GO program, they collect through donations throughout Peru plastic caps, and when they obtain enough quantity, they are sold to formal recyclers who reuse the plastic.
“With the money raised we buy wheelchairs, crutches and more orthopedic devices. There is no minimum or maximum for cap delivery. They are normally delivered to our collection centers. We only collect when quantities reach 100 kilos or more (prior coordination)” added Erika Schaefer. “The work that the Earth and being does to create awareness regarding the protection of our environment, Peruvian biodiversity, as well as social support, is a duty of every citizen.
